Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of its artistic director and chief conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius, invites to an unexpected and completely different birthday concert of the orchestra. This time at the orchestra's birthday concert, the audience will have an exclusive opportunity to see the orchestra's musicians from a close range and get to know them in an entirely new role - all 15 orchestral instrument groups will present exceptional and engaging performances.
This evening will feature works from a variety of periods, from Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) to Steve Reich (b. 1936), as well as different genres and styles, from baroque concert to jazz improvisation. At the end of the concert, the audience will be surprised by a jolly musical potpourri performed by the entire Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra conducted by maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius. To ensure that there is no shortage of smiles, the concert will be hosted by actors Audrius Bružas and Kirilas Glušajevas from the "Kitas kampas" Theatre.
