After leaving to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2005, baritone Kostas Smoriginas soon began his international career. After the soloist's performance in France, the opera magazine “Forum Opera” wrote: “K.  Smoriginas’ voice is gorgeous, majestic and full of colors. Even as he is creating a negative character, he still makes us sympathize with him”. K. Smoriginas’ impressive musical paths have already led him to the stages of London’s Covent Garden, Milan’s La Scala, Berlin and other famous opera houses. The soloist's debut in the USA was also not overdue: he presented the role of Figaro in W. A. ​​Mozart's "Le nozzle di Figaro" for the listeners of the Washington National Opera, later K. Smoriginas also performed this role at the San Francisco Opera House. According to the classical music database “Bachtrack”, in 2014. K. Smoriginas was one of the three most often performing bass-baritones in the world.

On this festive evening, K. Smoriginas will interpret the most beautiful arias from operas by W. A. ​​Mozart, G. Verdi, G. Donizetti and other composers at the Vilnius Congress Hall. The Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by its artistic director and chief conductor, maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius.
