On this evening an unbeatable percussion duo, virtuosos Pavel Giunter and Sigitas Gailius along with one of the best bassoonists in Lithuania Andrius Puplauskis, are inviting you to the percussion and bassoon fiesta "Get It!". The concert will feature works by contemporary composers: from one of the most famous minimalists of the 20th century Steve Reich (b. 1936) and his “Nagoya Marimbas” to Arvo Pärt's (b. 1935) most famous philosophical composition “Spiegel im Spiegel”, arranged for percussion by P. Giunter. The energy of life flow, different emotions and the most interesting twists and turns are all waiting for you in the concert of the virtuoso trio of P. Giunteris, S. Gailius and A. Puplauskis.

One of the most prominent Lithuanian percussionists, the leader of the ensemble “Giunter Percussion” and the artist of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra – such is the usual introduction of the charismatic virtuoso Pavel Giunter. The performer regularly participates in classical and contemporary music projects together with the Lithuanian State and Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestras, St.  Christopher Chamber Orchestra, various other chamber ensembles and soloists, and performs classical, modern, world and jazz music. As a soloist, he participates in music festivals in Latvia, Poland, Denmark, Belarus, Finland, Germany, Serbia, United Kingdom and elsewhere. Many works written for percussion by Lithuanian authors are dedicated to P. Giunter.

Sigitas Gailius is a colleague of P. Giunteris not only in this concert, but also in the percussion group of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra and in the ensemble “Giunter Percussion”. Since the beginning of his studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, the musician has been actively involved in the musical activities of percussionists. In  2007 he was on an internship with marimba Professor Linda Maxey (USA) and won the competition in her name – a scholarship at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. In   2011 S. Gailius became the winner of the International Antonio Santangelo Marimba Competition in Italy and the International Percussion Competition in Ukmergė. The musician regularly participates in festivals taking place in Lithuania and abroad.  Since 2016 he has been a lecturer in the percussion class of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.

Bassoonist Andrius Puplauskis is a laureate of national and international competitions. As a soloist he gives concerts with various orchestras, organizes solo recitals, and plays with chamber ensembles in Lithuania and abroad. A. Puplauskis' repertoire is extremely varied: from baroque, classical to modern, pop, jazz, electronic music or even improvisations of his work with an electric bassoon. In 2009  A. Puplauskis released the first solo bassoon music CD in Lithuania, “Bassoon in Lithuanian”, which contains the best Lithuanian examples of bassoon music. A. Puplauskis is the concertmaster of the bassoon group of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, member of the St. Christopher Wind Quintet and ensemble “AR's Musica”, associate professor with the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
